Some time back, someone posted a URL of Whitney. I think it might be useful again for some members. Go to this URL:

On the left side, type in Lone Pine, CA. Then, by using the arrows on each side, move west. You can follow the road through the Alabama Hills, to the portal, etc. Clicking on a spot in the photo zooms in. For example, I zeroed in on Trail Camp and followed the trail up to the crest.

Terraserver is an interesting site, but can be tedious to use if you are following roads and trails. Enter the lat and long coordinates below if you want to see specific landmarks in the Whitney Zone
