Some friends and I are going up this Fri-Sun and were wondering if anyone has been up in the area in the past week, and if they could comment on the snow conditions. I'm hoping the recent dry spell has allowed the snow to settle a bit but I fear we may still have to bring snowshoes anyway. Thanks,

We were planning on heading up the NF and camping at UBSL on Fri. Then summiting either Sat. or Sun., which ever day the weather is the best. A few members of my group are oppsed to having to rent snowshoes so I figured 2 miles on the MR would be kinder to them than the 9-10 on the main trail. Maybe we'll see you up there,
