We have a 3 days permit for next week and we'll stay on the main trail.

What do you guys think would be the best place to camp? I'd like to find a location with best views for taking pictures at sunset/sunrise.

Thanks,
Chris.

I guess it depends on the type of scenery you like to photograph, but my vote would be Trail Camp. Summit day would be a bit easier as well.

If you want to take pictures of Whitney, then Trail camp will be better. I usually prefer Outpost, because I sleep better at the lower elevation. Another thing to consider is that the winds are usually stronger at Trail camp and if you get caught in a storm it can be worse at the higher elevation.
