Wens. Aug 4th. 300' from TH signs just above creek diversion. About 6'long black face 30' from me. No fear on lions part. Called Mt. Whitney RS from Independence 'not their problem, please contact Fish and Game'but the RS did it for me. Bit the bullit and completed our trip to Wright Lakes; no people and the best Sierra weather I have ever seen.........Cliff
