While this site was down I stumbled across a new message board: Mt Whitney, The Sierra Nevada and Beyond.
According to it's administrator, Richard Piotrowski, it has been created as complimentary site that can be used for people to post their off-topic (not directly related to Whitney) subjects.

It's just starting up, but with all the interest in this area I'm sure it will see lots of use soon.

Richard is also a member of this Board, and from what I've seen most of the members who have joined Richard's board are also members of this one.
