Good memory, Richard. In celebration of my Aug-17 44th birthday, I ran the main Whitney Trail on Aug-15 with the usual training base at sea-level and w/o acclimating. Felt pretty strong and comfortable during the approx 4:50 or so round-trip safe/yielding running time, though I had to warm up a bit at the summit due to the chilly damp weather. The descent's light rain caused slick/tricky conditions on the rocky areas. Spent some time updating the ascenters on the summit weather and otherwise the normal socializing with many of the friendly hikers--who were all, as usual, were very polite and supportive.--Adam Rhoads
