We are going up for a two day trip on the 12th of July with a group of six. We have one more person that wants to go. What are the chances of one two day permit being available for walk up on Monday morning the 12th? Is it worth taking a chance?

I have a 2 day permit for 4 on July 12-13, but only 3 of us are going...call Inyo and see if they can make a switch to give you 7 spots and lower mine to 3. We'll be camping at the Whitney Portal that Sunday, which is when I plan to pick up my permit.
