I'm going to be driving up to Onion valley on Tuesday for a day hike, 8 miles in and 8 miles out, over Kearsarge Pass and then back to the car. Has anyone been near there lately? I imagine there is no snow whatsoever, but thought I'd better be sure. I lost my crampons on San G. in March, so I'm unprepared fot any snow conditions. Thanks, all.

A couple of weeks ago, there was minimal snow on the eastern side (easily negotiated). I talked to a few PCT hikers who said the western side was even drier than the east.
