I'll be at Trail Camp on the night of the 4th of July. My question is if Lone Pine has any fireworks show in town. I'm trying to figure out if they do, would the fireworks be high enough to be seen from Trail Camp or if Trail Crest would provide a nice viewing spot. Has anyone had experience with this or do you know if its at all possible?

We were at Trail Camp on 4th of July last year and there were no fireworks. I'm not sure you could see them from there anyway, but it seems like we would have heard them if they were going off.

I once drove up a mountain near my home town to watch fireworks, and it was very disappointing. I felt like Gulliver in the land of the Lilliputians with tiny little sparkles of light below me. I've come to think that the best spot for watching fireworks is as close to the launching point as possible so the lights will fill the sky above you.
