The hike up the NF "trail" is fairly straightforward, no real snow until small patches above LBSL. Between there and Iceberg a bit more snow, but nothing serious. Left the car at about 6am and arrived at bottom of chute around noon I think it was. The chute's snow was really, really soft, so I just stayed on the rock on the left almost all the way up. If you're a climber the reference would be to go almost to the east face rope-up point and then head right into the chute but essentially stay about 5 feet above the snow, so its just like an extremely long 5.2 45 degree traverse at a climbing gym.
The traverse at the top of the notch looked like a lot of snow so I took the first chute on the left afterwards. Straightforward, again stayed off the snow and on the rock.
Took the trail down. Hit trail crest at 5pm, best way down, but ONLY if you have axe and helmet, is to sit down and go. Its getting a bit icy at that time of day due to shade, so keep the speed down or else!
Never used the crampons, and used axe only on the glissade down. Ski poles might have been nice, and some light snowshoes if you're not going to stick to the rock.
