Hello there...
I plan on hiking up to meysan lake around the 21st of May and I'm a little curious as to what current weather conditions are at the portal (and around 11,000 ft. I've checked a few web sites and listened to the recording at the ranger station, but they all seem to give the same temp for all places over 5000 ft. Any info would be great.
On a different note has anyone seen if there are any fish in the pond at the portal.

Lone Pine is about 3770 feet. The weather channel projects a high/ low on May 21st as 81/53.

Taking away 3.5 degrees for every 1000 feet of elevation gain you get.

At the portal 8360 ft 65/37

At 11000 feet 56/28

There were people catching fish in the portal pond last week. There were also reports of fish up in grass lakes in the Meysan lake canyon last fall.
