Mt. Whitney Portal Store & Hostel Forums General Mt. Whitney Portal Store Message Board Need Overnight Permits for June, July, or August

I'm looking to do an overnight trip (2 nights) using the main trail. If anyone has extras or has had a change in plans, I would like to purchase them. Need 4, but will be happy with 2 or 3.

I called this morning and thought I had scored on 3 permits that were cancelled yesterday for June 22-24, but someone else snatched them earlier...so back to the drawing board.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Love this board.

i may have some extras for Aug 26-28. I have 15 permits now and am in the process of seeing how many people are actually going. Keep in touch with me if you are interested.

I have a permit for four for June 4th and 5th for the trail and 3-6th for the campsite.

Trail Entry:6/4 (technically midnight 6/4 12:01 am)
Trail Exit: 6/5 (technically midnight 6/5 11:59 pm)

The campsite reservation is for an
Arrival June 3 Thursday, check in 2 pm, and
Departure Sunday June 6, checkout 1:00 pm.

This includes one vehicle with 6 occupants at the portal.

I paid a total of 51 for the campground and 60 bucks for the trail permits.

I had a group of 4 with one back up going, but for various reasons or another, and after all this planning no one else can make it so although Whitney is high on my list I don't want to do it alone. I hear dying alone is underrated.

If anyone wants my reservations all I'm asking is my cost.
