have been gone for 2 weeks and havent heard any new snow report. Also anyone been up any for the peaks in socal latley?

The snow is melting fast, thats all I can say. I heard that is was so warm up on Baldy that there were atleast 2 big avalanches on the mountain. Other than that when I drove through the cajon pass on saturday the backside of the san gabrial and san bernadino mountains still had sufficant snow up high around 8,000+. But it is melting fast.

Snow conditions for skiing were much better than expected and we did need crampons for the last 800 feet of the climb due to several sections of very hard pack snow. No ice to speak of. consistent snow above 8000.

Did San Jacinto this past weekend, enough snow to break out the snowshoes, but it's melting fast, it was getting quite slushy by 9am
