Hello all, here’s a video I made scrambling up Olancha Peak’s Northeast Ridge earlier this summer (June):

Illya,

Thanks for the trip report of an adventuresome outing with significant elevation gain. Surely, Mr Bobcat does not see much human traffic on the Northeast Ridge.

From the Summit Log, was there evidence that PCT hikers had been making the short summit side trip (for them) coming up from the other side of Olancha?

Last time I heard this route mentioned was after Tina T did it...probably a couple of decades ago...
Cool seeing the Bobcat...I once had an encounter with one on Kennedy Meadows Road...
'Somewhat on/off-topic...CDFW recently published their study on Bobcats in CA...required (I think) by the Prop that was passed banning their hunting...
(I didn't read it because l've let my license lapse...)
