Alan Arnette YouTube Blogs

Alan came to one of our Whitney Group Climbs back in the early days of the new century...I don't spend a whole lot of time on this anymore, but listen to his blog when I want an update on what's happening on Everest...

In April of 2010, Alan was planning an attempt of Mt Whitney by the MR. He was following the Whitney Portal Store Message Board closely. He complimented the Message Board and was appreciative of the information he gained from its members.

On April 17, Alan joined a large contingent of members of the WPSMB at their campsite at Girl Scout Lake. Alan then summited that day with them. He thought highly of the WPSMB team.

Wasn't that the time Corina ran the pizza up to the group? Classic. Pretty sure that was the same trip I had a small group up on Carillon & Russell and got the telephoto shot of peeps in the chute that's in the store. Great days...

Wow, such a blessing when the memory doesn't fail. Yes, same trip and from my notes, this is Mark (So.BayMark), Tom (tomcat) and Shin (San) in the chute heading up and some unnamed person (probably Ledbetter) glissading down. (And of course, the pizza legend herself, Corina, above. Thanks Richard.)

I'm probably in most of those pictures. Fun day! And I was one of very few to dayhike it.

Yeah, I remember we chatted in the overflow lot for a bit the evening before (or after), Bob. Dang, how time flies.

Meeting up with some of the crew...could definitely smell the burgers at this point...

So, there's been some news about Climbers being poisoned in Nepal...
Total BS...click-bait...
It's even made the Common Man Travel Blogs...
Watch Alan's Blog the last 2 weekends if you want a balanced view of the story...
