i got a one dayer for june 4. Oh man its going to be fun in the sun(hopfully). I think there going to be lots of snow. Has anyone ever swapt permits for a later date?

I'm hoping to get my letter soon. My credit card was charged on Feb 19th but no letter yet. It has been a long anxious two weeks waiting to know what day we got.

received letter today and was given my 1st alternate date, July 29th, overnight for 6. it only took 3 days from when I first saw the visa charge, til receipt of letter. wish everyone could get notice. now we can start firming up the calendar and backwards planning. again, good luck to all still waiting. hope the 100th anniversary partyers leave some feel-good vibes on the mountain for us.

got my confirmation monday 3/8--for aug 31st thru sep 2nd--not my first choice but a good date nonetheless--i was kinda surprised the letter came--they have not cashed my check yet--very happy to have my dates firmed up, though...

My Credit card was charged on Feb. 18th. Still do not have letter. Am anxious to find out when in June we will be heading back up the mountain.

Regrettably, I received my "no go" letter on March 9 because the quotas were filled for first week in August. I might have to try to hook in with someone.

Santa came real early. I got my reservation confirmation for June 21, for 4 nights. Now I'll try to get a troubled teenager up to the summit to readjust an attitude of "everything sucks except TV!" Although not as impacting as a trip to Ethiopia, Somalia, or Haiti, Whitney should do something positive (no TV)! We'll be the real slow movers but best regards to all I see up there!

Got our confirmation today - 6/19 for 2 nights. Hope to see some of you on the mountain!

No credit card charge yet but no "sorry" letter either. I guess I still have a slim chance but a northbound start on the JMT from Cottonwood Lakes is starting to look more likely.

Whew! No more sweating for me--I finally got my confirmation yesterday. 8 people for June 27-29. I don't have my app in front of me, but I'm sure it was in my top 6 choices (of 16), which kinda surprised me since it took so long to get the confirmation.

Got confirmation letter yesterday. JMT here I come!!!

Confirmation was in the mail today. July 29th. Credit card charged 2/17 - permit mailed 3/8.

The strange thing for me is that I got my permit for 4 (my friends and I in Aug.) which was sent in on Feb 24th. But I have no word on my solo permit application (a weekday request for any of multiple days) which was sent on Feb 10th. I find it hard to believe that I wouldn't have gotten a solo for a weekday with multiple alternate days requested, which leads me to believe that the application was either lost by the Postal Service, or was lost in the shuffle at the Forest Service office. Anyone have any ideas on what might have happened? Also, does anyone else think their's may have been lost too? I'm really curious on this.
