Sure one of Pauls friends keep us updated Monday and we were able to get a picture of Paul on the trailhead and at the store.
When Paul feels up to it a quick summary of the event would most likely help many of the younger hikers.
I have published several books on Whitney and was ask by one of the seasoned climbers I know Why do you suggest never hike alone and you do it all the time? Also in the 3ed edition I cover the Zones on Whitney 4-3-2-1 and if one has problems exit zone 4-3 and try to make it into zone 2 Tree line, Also start time walking into a storm at night. I also mention the accidents start days before one every reaches the mountain. Paul is 75 I am 77 and age is a factor for the younger folks that may be short of many failed events that us older folks have had and luck got us to the golden years!
