Does anyone have any recommendations to get a ride from The Portal to Horseshoe Meadows. The service above showed a charge of over $500. Thanks!

Hi This could be correct the Shuttle needs to drive from Mammoth Lakes about 130 miles from the Portal thento Horseshoe then back to Mammoth Lakes about 300 mile trip. Several other legal shuttles may be cheaper try Eastside Shuttle in Lone Pine .

This shuttle was set up to get transporation from Whitney Portal to the Bishop Airport on Sunday since ESTA service is weekdays only and no flight on Saturday .
If you not not pressured for time many hikers end at Whitney and have a car here to go back to Horseshoe to get the second car they left at the trailhead and you can get a ride over.
