Mt. Whitney Portal Store & Hostel Forums General Mt. Whitney Portal Store Message Board Found IPhone on Mt Whitney 99 Switchbacks on 5/2

On Monday 5/2/22 at approximately 12pm I found a working iPhone laying flat on a rock close to the top of the 99 switchbacks. It had a few percentage points of battery left and looked as if someone took it out for a moment and left it there unintentionally. We charged it and tried to turn it on later but it’s in airplane mode and I can’t access any of the find my iPhone features. Someone on the Mt Whitney FB page posted about losing a phone on 5/1/22. Name was Owen Owen. I did a screen shot of this and posted a reply on the FB site as well.
