WWRD and I are going to try Whitney, Muir and Mt Russell this weekend. We will be at Iceberg lake on Friday night through Monday. Will anyone else be camping at Iceberg this weekend?

I assume that we will be the ones blazing the trail to Iceberg on early Friday morning. It should be easier for anyone following us.

Hope to meet some other Hiker/Climbers.

I'm planning on being up there this weekend although we are going to camp at Upper Boy Scout for a shorter hike out on Monday. I was wondering if there would be anyone else around this weekend. We are headed in on Friday morning as well so we'll see who ends up breaking trail! Any idea of the conditions on the road since the storm last week?

Cheers,

We were up last weekend the the road is ok with chains to just east of the Meysan Lake parking area, some went up without chains.

We went up the main trail but you could see there had been more than a few go up the MR and break trail.

We will be going up the Whitney this weekend too. Not sure which trail we'll end up choosing, but hopefully MR looks good. We'll start on Saturday, though. See you all there.

Well, Dusty Dog and I broke trail the entire way up the MR route with no sign of you in sight. I'm guessing you never made it?
