...,and slight chance of rain this week 103 so sans the jacket in town. This is one of the worst mosquito seasons in years so long sleeves, pants and spray . If going in the back country I would get a Head net for sure or a suit if wearing shorts and short sleeve upper.

Hello there in Lonepine. Y'all had a little shaker (M5.8) at 10:40 am near by - hope you are doing ok. Rocks on the Whitney road? Ridgecrest quake survivor.
I spoke on the phone with a ranger with the Inyo National Forest yesterday. She said the plan is to honor July permits for Whitney and also said they should be sending out an email later this week confirming how to receive your permit if you've previously been accepted. The website is being updated as well on next steps.
Portal shut down after the quake today, just got word it is open. Could be adjustment on permits as the VC may need inspected for safety. Stay tuned.

Hey Doug, If you need some stuff cleared and still have that big rope. I could bring the Jeep down and clean stuff up. Dave’s in too. (He doesn’t know it yet.) Or wait a week to see if any more comes down. Take care.
