permits available Oct 22,23 to do Rosie's Anniversary hike not sure what Rosie's plans are, I grabbed overnight for two for Oct 22,23.I was dumped from FB (need ID showing my name is Ridgeline) if someone could see if this date will work for Rosie, there are more available.

That might be kind of late. I think Rosie was talking about end of September, but I'll let her post what's what. (But yes, let's keep the pressure on her and Steve... )

I had to renew my M.M.C. card and my new ID is 14508.

That's Great! I need to send that, I will definitely be using that for my ID from now on!

her birthday might be September but permits are only available in October, at least they were, I grabbed two for the 22-23 Oct. An overnight might be more doable.

I believe Rosie's Birthday is in October. I remember celebrating a bunch of birthdays at the Hostel one year...Rosie, Tracie, Cori, Kristine, KarenR, (maybe more)...

I’ve been watching the web site for open days for permits, but no luck so far.

Well, this is going to have to be a "good news/bad news" response:

GOOD NEWS: Steve just found out that his younger son and daughter-in-law who got married last summer are pregnant!! They're due mid-November!
BAD NEWS: Unfortunately, we're not going to be able to do both. And as much as we REALLY want to be on Whitney again this year, we can't NOT be there for the first grandchild.

Dave, I want to thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and kindness for thinking of me and putting this together.... you really are a special friend, and one that I will miss terribly.

It's getting closer to the end of the month when we're scheduled to leave, and it's so hard thinking about leaving this beautiful canyon, my family, and all our friends. We are excited about the new adventure and being there with Steve's Mom, but the goodbyes are so sad. <3
