I would like to climb the Mountaineer's route starting about May 11, 2017 with my 17-year-old daughter. I would love to use Sierra Mountian Guides, but it is probably not in the budget right now. I'm hoping to find a person or group planning a climb during that week who have route experience and technical expertise.

I have been up Whitney 5 times, Once with my other daughter when she was 8 years old. I have also been to Everest Base Camp with my other daughter when she was 17. We have all the personal gear needed.

Just so we're clear, you're wanting a free, unlicensed guide to shoulder the responsibility of taking you and your daughter up a technical winter route during avalanche season (where someone just died and others were injured).

It's not an impossibility, but it's best to be honest with what you're expecting. (And also, just so everyone's on the same page, when you respond that "you'll sweeten the deal" etc. etc. alluding to payment of some sort, you're now hoping that the aforementioned "guide" will provide said services illegally.)

Or did I read that wrong?
