SAT OCT 31 2015

Well its the last day of October and Halloween to boot. High pressure will bring unusually warm temps today and Sunday, some 77 degrees in the Owens Valley and 65 - 75 for Mono County. Then things start to change later Sunday as our ridge flattens. All due to a storm system moving down for the Gulf of Alaska and thru our forecast area. Now this system looks to have an atmospheric river (AR) with it, so it has a wet punch. Right now the heaviest precipitation looks to be late Sunday into mid day Monday. Snow levels start at above 9,000 feet and drop to 5,500 feet Tuesday night. 8 - 12 inches of snow possible above 9,000 feet and a few inches possible above 5,000 - 7,000 feet. Things stay cool and unsettled thru Thursday...DMATT
