Continued comfortable weather thru Tuesday. Temps should run at about normal today. Yesterday saw a weak front passing to our north, so some mid and high level clouds were in the mix. Today brings the return of the offshore ridge with temps edging up to a bit above normal. Late Tuesday into Wednesday a Pacific trough splits with the main portion moving thru NORCAL and PACNW and the weaker portion moving thru Central CA. However right now, its orientation leaves most of the precipitation to our north, with a slight chance of precipitation in the Sierra. Wednesday, snow amounts look to be about 2 - 4 inches above 8,000 feet, particularly from Yosemite north. Breezy to windy conditions along the Crest with gusts to 35 mph. This has been a tricky forecast as models have been all over the place, so stay tuned for updates.
