Hello. Who can tell me about the condition of this trail to Italy Pass? And then on to Lake Italy? Is the trail easy to follow? Up to the pass, is it granite slabs? What is the route-finding like after the pass?

Is Granite Park easy to explore? Use trails or slabs?

Thanks!

It's a good trail getting to Granite Park. Beyond there it's less of a trail but the route is easy to follow. Depending on where you're going I prefer this pass instead. It's to the left of Italy Pass.

Kurt, everything depends on where you're going, lol. Is that the pass that leads out of Granite Park to south of Black Bear Lake and west of Bearpaw Lake? I went to the Bear Lakes basin last year by doing the traverse above Jumble Lake but I want to do a lot more exploring there.
