I recently got a bug up my butt to get to two hundred, so I'm climbing it a lot these days... I want a good winter, but won't complain if foul(er) weather holds off until I get a bunch more in on relatively dry trail...

Hanging at the WPS is also pretty cool (and never boring) too...

Oh, btw, I broke down (motorcycle) down towards town on Friday afternoon and thought walking up to the Portal wouldn't be too bad... Crazy Jack, you are crazy... that sucked.

Thanks to Doug for the use of his truck to get the broken bike back home.

Here are some photos:

Time to get moving... we're missing Alpinglow!

I followed that cute butt for nearly two miles and shaved about 45 minutes off of my last time up...

Some Guy probably would have gotten a Selfie with her.

Some ice and snow on the extreme (climber's) right side.

Mt. Russell.

Summit Marmot is still up there... looking fatter than me.

BTWII, I ran into Frank and Desiree up there.

That fog-shrouded pic at the end is definitely a keeper.

Thanks for the comments.

Sony NEX-5N. Haven't shot with a D-SLR in nearly 2 years.

I had a second Sony point-and-shoot die a few weeks ago. I don't think I'm going to replace it since the phone photos seem to be nearly as good.

I'm the same way. The DSLR sits on the desk with the Panasonic ZS-20 is right next to it (both collecting dust) and my 32 gig iPhone5 is almost at capacity!!!!!
Do you tweak the controls on the Sony at all, or are you shooting on auto?
Your shots are just amazing!

Spectacular pix, Richard! I, too, really like the fog-shrouded pic. Nice to see you 'back at it'... <not that you're not always 'at it'>. smile

Thanks.

A few other things on the agenda had me putting on the poundage around the waist. I've still got a twenty-pound spare tire to get rid of, but it ain't going away down south (the fact that I really don't particularly care for the far-southern Sierra wasn't helping matters).

A year away from Whiteny was plenty long enough...
