As the summer progresses ,and all you hearty hikers, and climbers set out for Mount Whitney, we want to thank all of you for your support at the Hostel.. We are now having movie night on each Friday and Saturday night at 8:00 pm..Come on by, hang out and watch some exciting and motivational films that are based on Mountain adventures, and adventure sports.. There is no charge, its just for fun,Its a good way to whined down from your day on the Mountain, or get inspired for your trip up… Hope to see you there!

Now, I have a hankerin' for a road trip to the holy city of Lone Pine.

It has been two years since we hiked Mecca West in July 2012.

Heck with the mountain, I want 3 hots and a cot. Pancakes for bfast, whatever for lunch (I am sure Doug can dish something up), and a burger and fries for dinner and a place to sleep it off.

Throw in a little fishing...Maybe a hike to Lone Pine Lake. Yeah, buddy, ahhhh...the good life.

Of course, wifey-pooh will be with.
