So many of you have done this and survived, but it seems like these guys had Murphy's Law working against them every step of the way!

The climber/boulderer missed a hold and fell, it happens...
But the other two guys...jeez they are very lucky to be alive!

Not 1, but 2 avalanches...

I shouldn't be One To Judge, but I'm going to anyway...

BS!

And that doesn't even bring Abandoning Your Gear into the equation!

Yesterday (Nov 25) after lunch my wife and I were walking towards the Royal Arches when we spotted a CHP helo approaching. It landed in the Ahwahnee Meadow next to a gathering of SAR personnel. Apparently a Yosemite Valley local had gone out for a hike on Nov 23 and ended up spending an unanticipated two nights under the stars without a jacket or snack. (Recently at night it has been about 30F on the Valley floor.) The hiker had just been found.

We talked to the hiker's sister and long time friend. They were so relieved to see the hiker would be OK, despite being in need of some medical attention. The efforts of those involved in the search were highly appreciated by family and friends.

During this Thanksgiving season, those rescued or assisted in these stories should be especially thankful.

Myles Litter ,Litter not Bootie OMG brings back the old boyfriend story again bootless bag a bond ? "I only left my tent, packs and Oh Yea my friend left some stuff, well everything but it was rental gear."

So Myles and I had only meet and he is young and strong. I tell him go fast don't take that ax thing or clamp ons before the next storm (in about an hour). Long story but most of the gear had blown away or covered from the last storm and as the gear melts out the sun eats away at the fabric and rips apart. Myles was hooked on the Mountain from that day on. Good climbing and Good stories for the grand kids.

Don't forget about Bruce! A leather hat! Three lost sheriffs and three little guns.
Or my favorite a man on the run with a litter and two wheels in tow, a girl on the sprint with two sticks. Or perhaps even better a helicopter ride to safety, then a journey back home with a sweet treat of hot wag bags in can fit for a bear.... Did he even bonk his head? There is still $100 reward for that hat!

And i sure do love this Mountain.... Pack a snack, bring a jacket

Yes there was a time when I was attacked by a bear... A Giant of a man with a rock saved me

I hate Bears...They are as Phil says "Giant Sierra Pine Rats"

They may be cute, but they sure do some damage...
