Started watching L.A. news recently and Bear activity seems to be more commonplace down there than up at the Portal...

Seems that all the Newscaster claim that Bears are very dangerous...

I guess I should be happy that I'm still alive considering the many encounters I've had...

Richard, you don't understand about LA bears. All the hubub, all the people it just drives everyone and everything crazy. How would you like it if you were simply walking around, sniffing garbage cans and suddenly police and news choppers are hovering scant feet above you, watching your every move. Then some guys are trying to shoot you with what they say is a dart. I have shot darts before and I sure would not want one of those in my posterior. That coupled with the smog that tends to accumulate at the base of the San Gabriels affects our, myself included, brain cells. It is what it is.Please be understanding of our So. Cal bears.
