After hiking Lone Pine Peak we hustled over to Whitney to beat the snow. While descending we saw a number of people heading up the MWMT in thickening snow. Ascending 'Rattlesnake Mountain' the next day we saw two helicopters heading toward the Portal. Does anyone know if there was an incident there?
