So Frank,Louise, and Des got kicked out of a weekend in the Grand Cyn to do a R2R2R because of you know who.. So I was invited to do C2C with them.. We met in Corona to car pool at 1:30a, got to Palm Springs and started hiking at 3:10a from the museum. Beautiful night with a few shooting stars and the light winds keeping us cool.. Arrived at tram picnic tables at 11:25 for a snack then head for summit, a lot of people on trail, met one couple that got screwed out of the Grand Cyn this weekend so they were there also.Light winds off and on going to summit but very nice, got to see the hut up there and got to the summit at 3:45p to nice views of the surroundings, took pictures and high fives and headed down. On way down it was getting cold so gloves and light jacket went on. Got back to tram at 6:30 then to cars at 9:30 home at 10:15 long day but with some great friends it made the day fun.
Met Steve,Ellen,Hiking Jim,and Eric on trail..

What an accomplishment! You look like my dh and I did when we were walking back up that sidewalk to the tram's mountain station!

Did you take the tram back down, or hike it?

Congrats!

My father-in-law is visiting from NH next week. C2C is our backup hike if we decided to pass on Whitney (if it's even an option) and White Mtn Peak.
