Hi Kimberly...

Very nice...quite a bit of writing on your part. I will take a look at the description. I obviously wasn't sure what to write. Some descriptions were short and others were longer. I appreciate the feedback as the marketing and the like is my weak point.

Looking at the YouTube replays...

Are they really still racing... that must mean the the U.S. (who doesn't even have an American Skipper or Tactician) has a chance to win? That would have to be The Comeback Of All Time!

Last I read it was 8 Kiwi to 6 American and yes, this could be one of the greatest comebacks in the history of any sport. At least that's what the writer stated. Have to wait and see what it says today...!

Hi During my bvacation in the service we would start some of the Sailing races on the west coast , of course we couldn't go far as most years we would end up on a sand bar or something but good fun was had. We also pulled a racing boat in one day the captain kept yelling turn him loose so the deck crew cast off the tow last we saw the sailing vessel was heading for the breakwall once it lodged onto the rocks I am sure the crew walked into Long Beach.

Hey I think we should leave this off topic thread going so if anyone has a story or an ideal let if air Thanks Doug

Side note some wind last night and warmer temps today since we are into the start of shorter daylight hours plan to leave in the dark and return after sunset for a day hike also expect cold , wind and snow any time now! Thanks Doug

Off topic on an off topic thread? Hurts my head to think about, as much as time travel. (Still hoping the fat, one-leg-injured summit marmot is still alive...and concerned that he's not...that other well-fed, but able-bodied imposters may be responsible for this year's sightings).

Akichow:

As of the morning of July 30th, he was still there, posing with absolutely no fear and charming the heck out of everyone up top. Can confirm it's the guy you're thinking of, as he was definitely favoring one of his front legs (forgot which leg ... think it was the front right, but not sure), but he was getting around pretty well over the boulders on the southernmost area of the summit. If I can figure out how to post a picture I'll do so. He was fun to watch.

Yay! Thanks! I missed him on both trips this year. He's one of the constants to which I look forward.

Alas, he is no more - I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.
