I hear there are interesting conditions at the Portal right now.

I ordered a cheeseburger from Myles at the "ROAD CLOSED" sign, but he refused to go back up and cook it for me. No work ethic, these youngsters.

Bets and I were able to get by the road block and stay at the portals all day.

What a mess up there. Road crew worked all day on clean up.

I'm trying to figure out how it always rains when Tom comes to town.

We did the summit yesterday and the rain started around 11:30 when we started the switchbacks coming down. The trail below base camp was a stream, had everything in backpack except a dingy. Interesting to see flash flooding right in front of us.
We asked one guy going up if he had waterproofs, his reply, " no, just what I,m wearing"
Good luck to anyone trying today.
