Just got back from my trip to Soldier Lake via Cottonwood Pass. For the second straight year it has been very dry. No water from Chicken Springs Lake to Rock Creek. I did a day hike to Sky Blue Lake and the usual waterfall is almost non-existant! The creeks can be crossed by stepping on rocks. The weather was nice - 50's during the day and mid-30's at night. Tuesday it was very windy which rattled my tent all night long. Saw some big horn sheep in Mitre Basin!
