My group of 6 people has 2 separate permits for overnight hikes starting July 4 - one permit exiting 7/5, and the other exiting 7/6. We do not plan to use the 1-night one at all. For the other one, our group is down to 4, so we have two "open" spots on the permit. Is there any way to recoup any of the costs for these permits? Can we transfer the 7/4 - 7/5 one to another group?

You "eat" the costs..money is non-refundable....permits are not transferrable...release them back to the Visitor Center.
