I just wanted to put it out there for the few people that got to Know Mike Joller. Mike passed away today early morning form a form a Cancer.
I brought Mike to Whitney the first time back in the early 90s. He loved it up there and looked foward to our yearly weeked guy getaway trips. He would start asking if I got the site#44 for Aug 1st back in February. He never wanted to leave the day we had to depart. Im glad a mountain has such great memories for me now.
Rest in peace brother.

Hi Very sad news I am sure Earlene, Doug and I met Mike over the years but like so many people know we just know by sight # 44 Your group must have bear stories.
On the Hike Saturday after everyone left I went back into the Ashram and reflected for several minutes on closure for the past season. Mike may have caused me to do that. Prays Doug
