Come join us for a very special evening as we welcome one of Adventure 16’s favorite speakers, Mt. Everest summiteer and professional mountain guide, Kurt Wedberg.

Kurt Wedberg, currently living in Bishop, CA, accomplished what has been done by only a small handful of mountaineer’s in the world: he has successfully guided Mt. Everest and has climbed it three times by two different routes. Nothing he has ever done in his life has been harder—or more satisfying.

Experience the passion and exhilaration of Wedberg’s accomplishments as he guides you to the top of the world through powerful slides and motivational narration. Come hear how Kurt has used mountaineering to strengthen himself spiritually, emotionally, and physically and learn how climbing high on mountains can help put the rest of your life in perspective.

I'll be trying to get up Whitney for weekend #50 on 11/02, so I won't be able to make a group hike if one happens on Baldy, but will try to make the show in WLA before heading to the airport for Mexico (redeye flight was too cheap to pass up).

Another excellent show last night! It was about his Everest climb he guided this year but he also had some great Sierra photos AND he added some slides of Carstensz Pyramid which was a great story!

I'd encourage anybody in the area of A16 stores the rest of this week to attend. I think you won't be disappointed!

Awesome presentation last night.
I remain inspired by all of it.
I wish I had better noted the name of the Lama and the quote (blessing?)about peace featured in one of your slides so I could google it for the specifics.

Thank you for sharing your experiences!

Thanks for attending the show!

That was Lama Geshe. You'll probably find a few references to him by searching on Google. The prayer he handed out said this:

A request to all sentient beings on this planet...

Give up all intentions to harm others from your heart
And do your best to benefit them all.
If each and everyone feels this universal responsibility to do so,
We will all enjoy the feast of peace!

The weather forecast for Mt. Baldy tomorrow looks pretty nice. I look forward to seeing a few of you tomorrow at Manker Flats at 6am and to seeing some of you at one of the slideshows tonight or tomorrow night!

Unless I oversleep, I'll be there in the morning. I'm also looking forward to the evening presentation.

See you tomorrow! smile
