Looking for any recent V and U notch condition intel. Anyone been up there recently? How is the snow pack? Any ice in the notches? Etc…

Maybe a local guru can chime in and predict fall ice conditions at both notches.

Are you coming in from the east or west side? As of July 3, there were no snow travel problems at Bishop Pass and Thunderbolt Pass. The U Notch was clear of snow but infested with really loose rock. Travel carefully.

Stacy, I can't believe I missed you by one day. Did you summit?

iPlod, we were Jeeping across Coyote Flats! No summiting!

Thanks for the pics and info. U notch looks melted out, safe to say its done for the season. Assuming V notch is experiencing similar conditions...
