Do I really need a bear can to store food if camping at Iceberg Lake?

This question comes up all the time...

No, the North Fork of Lone Pine Creek is only on the Recommended (not Required) List.

There are plenty of large boulders that you can hang a food bag off of. (There are plenty of marmots and other rodents that would love for you to leave your food on the ground.)

Well, I have been to both Icebergs. You definitely need one at the other Iceberg Lake just above Lake Ediza. This deer found out the hard way.
