We had a successful summit on Monday morning 6-25-2012. We did it in two days and it was an amazing experience. It was insanely windy at both Trail Camp and from Trail Crest to the summit but other then that there wasn't a cloud in the sky. None of my group of three had any problems with altitude or anything either as we stayed at horseshoe meadows, then the portal before starting. Here are my blogs I wrote on the trip(ya I am a little crazy at writing and photographing a lot)

This one is a hiking report with all of the times and information on our trip, it has a lot of photos and a 7 minute video as well

This one is a straight photographic guide of all of the main parts of the trail, over 70 photos

And this is my review of the Portal Store with their awesome hamburgers and pancakes!

Let me know what you think, and thanks to the Portal Store for all of the great food, deodorant I forgot and my souvenir pin, loved having that at the start of the trail!

Amazing photos!!!

Two quick notes though - its Consultation (not consolation) Lake, and Hitchcock Mtn and Lakes on the backside/westside of Trail Crest (by Guitar lake) not Hancock. =)

Sure thing! It's a great photo reference for folks who may not have been up there (or who have and want to show it off - did i mention they were great pics!) So it's helpful to have the right names attached.

=) thanks again for sharing your trip with us!

Thanks Tif I am so glad you like the photos! I knew there was a reason I lugged my SLR all the way to the top of the mountain and back down!

Feel free to share any of the posts with anyone who would benefit from them!

Congratulation Josh to you and your team. Great photos and video.
By the photos and video it looked like it was still pretty cold at the summit. Good job.

Josh, just curious to know your tent collapsed with the stakes nailed to the ground right. Not sure if we can even do that in type of terrain.

I have a big anges UL2 tent wondering if that would hold up frown will know next week If I do overnight at TC.

Thanks Randy, yea it was super cold on the summit!

Stalin, our tent blew in a couple times from the wind and had to be pushed back up. It was staked in but it was a pretty cheap wal mart tent so that is probably why it had so much problems, hope that helps!
