Mt. Whitney Portal Store & Hostel Forums General Mt. Whitney Portal Store Message Board Ride sharing between Whitney and Onion

Hi - my son and I are looking for someone to help us get from the Portals to Onion Valley this Saturday 6/23 or Sunday 6/24. So if anyone is planning to hike between Onion and the Portals next week we plan to exit at the Portals on Thursday 6/28 and since our car will be parked there we could drive back to Onion Valley so that anyone that helped us could pick up their car.

I have never had a problen getting a ride. Just ask a people at the portal. Sometimes I get a ride to town and a second one up to onion. Bring cardboard and a marker. If you need a ride from town.
