Wayne has posted a lot of data on the fact that there are 97 Switchbacks from beyond Trail Camp to Trail Crest. I was looking for something different to do on the way down yesterday, so I took a photo from every "sharp" turn... guess what? There are 97 of them:

The album is what the view is like from each, not photos of the turns.

Hey if you put those all in a mini flip book and flip it real fast it will be like running up the SBs! Kinda like those cartoon flip books. Cool idea Richard!

Not a Flip-Book, but a QuickTime movie...
I set the frame rate a 2 seconds, so it'll only take you 3 minutes, 12 seconds to get down to Trail Camp!

Note: QuickTime and SmugMug do a lot of manipulation of the photos and video, so the quality is shot compared to the original pictures.

Hi Richard,
This is getting too much.
It is amazing that you are able to think and have a time to take a picture of 97 switchbacks one by one as you climb.
How much time did you lose ?
Most of us are too tired to count numbers and remember them and take a picture as you climb.
I try not to think about the distance or turns on the trail.
I just keep my head down and keeping on moving my legs.

Thanks, but the computer did all of the work on this...
Could have gotten creative by adding captions, music, etc...

Shin, there's more amazing stuff on the agenda if I stay healthy.
