The climb up Whitney yesterday marked 26 weekends in-a-row. I decided I wanted to go big. It didn't turn out the way I planned. It was a beautiful day regardless.
Here are some highlight photos:
Gotta show Mark's thermometer.
Too much to do...
Whitney from afar.
I call this super-high desert.
If only I could find the motivation to lay down my sleeping bag...

Great pictures Richard! Yah... Wallace Creek didn't look much different than when I've come thru there in the summer, I kinda thought it would have been higher. I sure do love that country! ...looking forward to the trip report.
Hey CalicoKat... it looks like you and I will be passing each other on Forester Pass this summer! I'll be heading south on the JMT and will be going over Forester on August 7th. Cool!! I'll have someone to watch for!

Figure out how you can get Shin up here for a few days, then invite Mark and we'll do it. HM to WP via the Mitre Basin and the Crabtree Lakes Drainage. We can go over the top of Langley...
Hi Richard, Your pictures bring me back the fun hikes in 2010. I am ready whenever you have any time off from your W52W project. The high plain desert is calling, I must go with a light pack with less foods.
