In case anyone is interested, the route is essentially snow free up to the pass with some patches here and there. Awesome Views from there into the basin. Most lakes are frozen with the exception of the first one or two from the Onion Valley th. Plenty snow in the higher couloirs and chutes looking west and southwest. Saw a Golden Eagle today fly over the summit of Gould!

An acclimatization hike to Kearsarge Pass is a treat because of the views from the pass...it also takes you to 11,760'.
