Thanks Rosie. And again for those great brownies!

There's a photo out there of me wearing a crown too. (Has to do with the gag name I've given myself.)

Thanks Patrick.

Doug, do you want me to leave? I've always wanted to climb Whitney on my birthday, but it's never worked out. Even this year, if I had taken the day off... new snow. Speaking of which, cool that there's a little more...

Tell Jr. I didn't steal the sign. I left it pinned behind a tree stump. I also promise I'll never block that spot again, even though it means I'll have to walk farther to get to the Trailhead.

Thanks.

Like the photo, Rosie!

Happy Birthday, Richard, one of these days you'll get a birthday hike in... but a bit of birthday trivia if yesterday was your birthday, February 7th was the official "Full Snow Moon", so snow was appropriate smile

Thanks, I'll have to look that one up...

Hunger Moon
Storm Moon

I was thinking that this morning would have been an excellent time to be somewhere in the Alabama's for the moonset.

Awesome watching it descend towards Morris Peak down here near the southern end of the range this morning.

Hi Richard,

Happy Birthday!!

Are you happy being getting old?
I don't ask how old you are.
Pretty soon your body parts will tell you how old you are.
Till then keep on hiking and enjoy the mountains.

Hope to hike with you many more years.

Shin

P.S.
Hi Rosabella and Tracie,
Don't give Richard a wrong idea about 12-2-12 Full moon, please.
There is nothing cool about it. It's a 22 miles of winter climb on the deep snow.
He has to take Sunday off like a normal folk.
He can watch a full moon with good foods and beer or wine at home.

Thanks Shin.

I don't like to remember how old I am. I know I'm getting old because the climbs hurt more now then the did way back when. I also like to spend more time watching TV after a climb these days. Before, it would have been "what am I going to do tomorrow?"

BTW: check out the web-cam for the spindrift off of Whitney and Keeler. Amazing! Glad I'm not up there today!
