It is my understanding at checkout the only charge you will see if the $6.00 service charge. If you obtain your permit then you will see the $15.00 per person charge. So that won't appear until April.

That's correct Bernie. It costs $6 to apply for the lottery. If you are awarded space you'll then be charged $15 per person. The $6 is non refundable if you don't get space. That is simply the cost of entering the lottery.

If you're not picky about the dates could you apply for a Day Permit and put Aug 1 to 31? Would the computer understand this?
