Hey Whitney lovers, we have a permit for this Monday for 4 hikers, one day summit. We have run in to some issues with availability, and while I have summitted Whitney alone, this just didn't seem the year to hike it by myself. I figure if we get some good days in Oct, I may go up after the quota season is over. Anyway, I will be in Lone Pine tonight through Sunday for a Langley hike we had planned prior to getting our permit (weird coincidence we get the same weekend we are there!). I am calling the rangers at the last minute they are open tonight to tell them they can have it back, if no one contacts me before then.
