Absolutely BEAUTIFUL pictures!! The "clearing storm" pictures are so dramatic! Really enjoyed them all.

I knew that there was a lot of snow this year with a very late snow melt, but I was still shocked at how much snow there was on some of the passes! The Muir Pass area was amazing, and Forester....Wow! I have not read your trip report yet (but I will), but your pictures give me an even better perspective of what Ellen went thru…. OMG! You 2011 JMT’ers are amazing!!!

great shots, and tons of snow even this late in the summer. I've been out in June some years with less snow.

What great picutures. Snow levels are also amazing to see for the time of year the photos were taken. I wish I had the same skill as a photographer. Please note that the Virginia Lake picture is actually a shot of Purple Lake.

Great photos! Reminds me of my 2008 JMT trip, less all the snow.
Just finished North Lake to South Lake trip, Muir Pass still has lots
of snow. Had to cross about eight snow fields. Happy Hiking!
