Is there still a pay phone at Whitney Portal? Will it accept phone cards? Also, is there a good place to post a note for someone there? Thanks.

Hi Doug... Good to see you there on 8/9. While eating your superb post-summit burger I made Verizon cell calls on the store patio.

PS- found my friends car keys. Bob Ennis looked for them in his shuttle bus. Thanks for looking at the store. Harvey

Thanks Doug, too bad there's no phone. I don't want to carry a cell phone for many days just to place one call at the end. Maybe I can bribe you or someone else to let me place a 1 minute call?? What's a phone call gonna cost me? A beer?

I know you can, but since I want to make a call from the Portal (and I'd rather not carry a cell phone for many days just to make a one minute call) that doesn't help any.
